How to extract addresses from Outlook Contacts

Email Address Collector

Sometimes, you need to be able to make a list with email addresses of your Outlook Contacts. Maybe you want to use the list for sending personalized emails using a 3rd party emailing software, maybe you just need to give away that list to your co-workers. Outlook itself doesn't let you make such a list, but you can use Email Address Collector to extract Outlook Contacts addresses.

To use our product as an Outlook Contacts extractor, you firstly need to switch to the Outlook Contacts view, by selecting it using the top/right drop-down list of the Email Address Collector main window. You will notice that your Outlook contacts and groups will be displayed on the right sided list panel.

To start the address extraction, go to the "Other Mail Sources" panel, identify the "Contacts" entry, right click on it and choose to extract addresses. You will notice a progress bar, then the addresses will be listed in the middle panel.

Now, you can:

  • save the addresses to a CSV file, by using the File->Save function;
  • export the addresses to a new Outlook Contacts location, by right clicking over the selecting addresses;
  • copy them to the Windows clipboard and later paste them into any other program.

    As a trick, if you wish to extract email addresses only from certain Outlook Contacts, you can firstly make a new Outlook email message, click on the "To" field, select the desired Contacts, add them to the email "To" field, then cut and paste the contacts to the email body content, then save the email to a new Outlook mail folder.
