6.1. I see a "WAB identities not available" message each time I start Email Address Collector™ 3.2. Why?
6.1.
Email Address Collector™ 3.2 comes with full support for WAB identities, which are supported by MS Outlook Express 5.0 or above. If the email client you're using does not support WAB identities, Email Address Collector™ 3.2 displays this message just to inform you that ALL your address book contacts and groups will be displayed. This means that the Logoff identity option won't work either.
6.2. After using Email Address Collector, my Outlook Express Address Book seems to be empty...
6.2.
If you have both Outlook Express and MS-Outlook installed on your computer, then in order to allow a full compatibility between WAB versions and Outlook, Email Address Collector will set the default address book to the Outlook Contacts, which shows only the contacts list of MS-Outlook. As a result, when using Outlook Express, the Address Book will either appear to be empty or it will show the contacts from MS-Outlook (if any). To solve this problem, please download the WAB switch fix. Unzip it and run the decompressed file which will modify a registry value on your machine. Then run Outlook Express and you should see the initial Windows Address Book contacts.
